Displacement of New Ducati V-Twin Expected to be 1200cc

It has been no secret that Ducati is developing a larger-displacement V-twin sportbike to take on the four-cylinder 1000cc Japanese machines in Superbike racing, as well as on the street. England's MCN is now reporting that the displacement of this new bike will be 1200cc, and that it will be revealed at the Fall motorcycle shows this year. Interestingly, MCN is also expecting the new machine to revert back to the major styling cues from the iconic 916 . . . perhaps the most beautiful Ducati ever made (and, some would argue, the most beautiful motorcycle ever made).

This week's MCN had a pic of the new 1200 '916' . At last Ducati have listened to their customers! They have said they are still fully committed to making twins.

And you know what that means guys.. there's probably a 1200 ST4S coming..
