I realize these motors must be revved, and they really shine at 4k rpm and above, but mine is really rough and lurches pretty badly at parking lot rpms and speeds. It also seems to be idling a little slow (kinda halfway struggling; if it were about 200 rpm higher, it would be perfect).

I've never personally taken my bike to a dealer since I've owned it. Should I do this and let them give it a once-over and possibly some adjustments? Will this help sort out the bucking and lurching at low speeds? I would almost be embarrassed for someone to get on it and ride it around as it is right now. It's almost right, but not quite.

Something's wrong.
Yes they don't like to run under about 3 grand, but it shouldn't run that rough. Take it to a dealer and let them wave their expensive Ducati electrickery thing at it.

What gear are you in when it seems to be running "rough" under 4K rpm?
