I decided to retire my 916 from racing duty and return her to her street form. I stripped her down to the frame, went through her, cleaned her up, and got all her clothes repainted (keeping everything original.) What do you think?:)

But this man a cigar !

Lovely ! So nice to see a Ducati in the original livery and without excessive look-at-my-aftermarket-individuality farkle on it.

Sweet...and a nice reminder of what beautiful lines the 916 has.

Brought back memories of my 95 916, looked just like that when I bought it. However, it evolved with my doing into something else over a three year period. Nice period bike.

Me thinks she's simply gorgeous. Congrats on owning such a fine example of the original. If I'm ever well off enough to start collecting, such an example would be high on my list of must haves.

Wow! Thanks for all the replies. I really enjoy working on the 916, and I've always tried to stay true to the heritage. I've bought and sold Ducati's most of my adult life (from 888 through 999 and Monsters), but this one will never leave:cool:
