Tidbit of possible interest, this morning on my commute to work I saw a new notification in place of the snowflake - "desmo service -600". Yesterday I passed 14,400 miles, so the countdown to service begins. Bought it this February and I'm still obsessed with the bike.

pre-paid! Smart move by the dealer to lock me in, and saved me 15%. And just in time for another North Carolina run, this time in the opposite direction:

Weather permitting here's the plan...
Sunday 12/2: Boston -> Virginia Beach (stay w/friends)
Monday: Virginia Beach ->Wilmington, NC (stay w/friends)
Tuesday: Wilmington -> Gatlinburg -> The Dragon -> Cherohala Skyway (motel vs bivy sack in parking lot)
Wednesday: (drum roll please) 1020 mile iron-butt attempt from Tellico Plains, TN -> Scranton, PA -> Boston (this time I know to get start/stop witnesses and save gas receipts)
Thursday: begin marriage counseling
