Todays race was incredible - could there have been any more twists and turns. Melandri passing Rossi was a highlight as were Dovi looking like he would run away with it only to be sucked in by the top 3 racers in the world, Capirex so close to the podium and Edwards sticking it to King James. Stoner's lap pace on the cold slicks was daunting.

Makes me think there should be compulsory rain races. Who wants to watch dry racing after this. They could sprinkle the track and then using a completely random process switch them off during the race. Of course it could mean an outsider might win - with the obvious exceptions of the also ran Ducatis;)

Lorenzo was outstanding - how he dropped his bike in the sighting lap is baffling though, but he impressively fought back from a terrible start on the B bike - And then the drama of his pit crew fixing the A bike in time for the weather change just added more spice.

Looks like Rossi chose too hard of a compound slick in the dry conditions and it cost him dearly. He definitely looked extremely bummed after the race. It does appear that Rossi is repeatedly if not chronically getting these weather races wrong.

The 250 race was fantastic as well. Its going to be interesting next year when Simoncelli, Bautista and Barbera come looking for rides. Can't imagine any one of them will touch the Ducatis.

I hope this race win was the confidence booster Casey needs to get in gear. I hope that now he's on top, that won't change.

If you noticed, he was using the 2008 swing arm, not the new carbon fiber one. He said the bike was setup much like last year because of the bumps at mugello.

Next up; Laguna Seca... lets see if Stoner can pole it and this time see Rossi crash! LOL

Why would you ever want to see someone crash? I personally want to see fair battles. Not a win cause the competition crashes. Plus its really bad luck to wish such a thing on someone.

I don't even care about today's watered down MotoGP anymore.

I just got done watching the 1989 and 1990 season reviews, and the documentary "Faster". Now THAT was racing.

I still watch current motoGP but you are correct. Those two strokes were unreal. The Rainey and Schwantz battles were amazing. I still watch Faster over and over to see McCoy spinning that rear tire. Great stuff.

I am enjoying the BSB and Irish Road racing a lot now. Close racing usually. I think Oulton Park has a jump in it!
