Well I'm just about ready to move myself back to San Diego. I leave Virginia next weekend. As some of you may remember my ships homeport changed from Norfolk to San Diego after I had already accepted orders. My wife was very nice about moving back. She smiled, patted me on the head and told me, "Have a nice time with that." So attached is a pic of my new home on wheels. (At least for the next two years or so). I have to make a week stopover in Wisconsin to visit the shipyard where my ship is being built. I have a two day stopover in Sacramento to visit family then to San Dog on June 1st. For those if you who helped me in my discussion to get a trailer over a Motor home thanks I appreciate all the advice. As you can see I'm all set. Have a chock in the bed of the truck to carry my trusty 749. If you see me on the road wave and say hi.

We are like Warrant Officers but with a broader range of responsibilities. Prior enlisted that are selected to work in our specialized fields. I'm an engineer, surface repair is my designator. Ships propulsion and support systems operation and repair are my areas. The general term is "Mustang".

Yes, Marinette Marine is building her. As for riding in Sacto, I most likely won't have time on the way down but I'll be back, most of my family lives there and I'd like to meet up with you guys.

Once my schedule settles down I intend visit you guys at DOCSD. The USGP is most defineitely in my mind we'll see how finances settle after the move.

Bevel, You're on. I wish that I could post some pics of the construction. The whole thing is still in competition with GD for their design so I'm bound by a non-disclosure agreement. As soon as they tell me what I can and can't share I'll post some up. She is going to be a beauty.

Funny you showed the Swedish ship Visby. She and Freedom share similar systems, and in fact some of our people are going over to see some testing of them for performance verification.

Well, I'm here! Unfortunately with a broke bike. I blew my clutch master cyclinder riding with my brother up in Sacramento. So that's my project for the weekend, fixing the clutch.
