There's a good article in the August issue of RoadRUNNER magazine ( page's 18 through 26 ) about motorcycle camping in Pennsylvania. The author is utilizing a Moto Guzzi Norge for his adventure but it could just as easily be a Multistrada or ST2/3/4. Here is a link to a preview of the article on their web site:

There are also route maps etc. accompanying the article. The route he took was approximately 519 miles. Even if you forgo the camping the route looks great.
