Does anyone know if a 2004 800 Sr2 rear shock will fit on a 2000 Monster 750?

My shock is gas charged and the 2004 is sealed. I’d prefer a sealed shock.

Please let me know. I think it should.

I'm pretty certain that it will not work. 2003 (maybe it was 2002) Ducati switched the Monster to the ST style frame and suspension. The rear suspension linkages are very different so I doubt the newer shock will work with old style suspension. I never paid any attention to the differences the single sided swing arm bikes and the standard Monsters though. Only way to tell would be measuring and comparing.

If you want the seat height 1-2 inches lower then yes.
The later shocks are shorter.
Both shocks are gas charged, the "sealed" shock just means it cannot have the oil changed like the earlier one can. Definitely a downgrade in my eyes.
