Hi guys,

My Monster 821 was recently featured on Pipeburn, article link here.

The bike's not a crazy custom but I think it came out ok.

You can't really see the raw steel on the tank in the article, so here she is:

More photos on the build here.

Just wanted to share here in case anyone was interested.

Cheers,
Pat

Thanks, guys. As it stated in the piece, I had much bigger plans at first but still think it came out pretty nice.

The headlight swap does change a lot of the overall look!

Thoughts on the 'burnt bronze' exhaust?

I like the burnt bronze, it doesn’t direct your eyes to the exhaust as one single piece versus if you left it black as in earlier pics where it stood out like a sore thumb. Good job on the aesthetics. It allows the observer to view the bike as one entire piece versus other builds where one single component overwhelms the rest of the bike.

was that ceramic coating?

Thanks man! Yes, it's ceramic coating.
Looks like you're in OC too. I used Newport Mesa Powder Coating in Costa Mesa.
