Hey all,

I'm planning to buy my first bike and found a local used 2006 monster 620. The guy ask $4600. The miles on the speedo is around 1800 but the guy said that the speedo is somewhat off. The previous owner somehow messed it up. He told me the actual miles is around 4000miles. Will this bike easily be registered with that problem? and also is this a good deal?

personal opinion... either make a ridiculous offer or walk away. There are lots of 620 monsters around, and you may have problems selling afterwards if the paperwork doesn't match up.

You should be provided with documentation that tells you ALL the miles on the bike. Suppose the dealer is estimating low. How do you know? That would really scare me.

I just bought a 2006 620 w/ 2700 miles (from dealer that sold it new and has done both oil changes) that still has 8 months of warranty on it for $5000. Looks like new. High price? Maybe- but condition + warranty sold me.

Good luck,
John
