Just installed a Superlite PCD-4 Quick change carrier with Superlite 50803-43 steel sprocket. It was installed combined with a EK 525 ZVX3 Series Supersport Chain Black/Gold - Number Of Links : 120 which was cut to size. As with all other Ducati that I've owned, the Monster 1200 benefits from a +2R gearing change.

good to know, thanks.
I do find the stock gearing on the 17 1200s extremely long.
good for long highway rides but thats it.

Thanks for the detailed information. I agree on the gearing, just waiting for things to wear out before I switch.

www.gearingcommander.com is an awesome website tool.
Moreover, they've added a chain / wheelbase length tool which is a useful feature for those concerned about the impact on handling.
