What is the little microswitch under the clutch lever, it gets depressed when the clutch lever is fully pulled in. What does it control/activate?
Thanks in advance.

It was put there by Ducati for a study. It uses your cell phone to tell them how often you shift so they can determine the best gear ratios for the market where you live.

Sometimes I double clutch just to mess with them cause I hate people spying on me.

The switch use for quick engine start if engine died on the road. You just can push the clutch level and push start switch. Due to the microswitch you do not need to search for neutral, you can start the engine in any gear.
