MH900E Carbon Body Work - Where to find?

7077 Views 22 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  dotau
I'm beginning to piece together parts for a custom mh900e build similar to what Gareth Roberts did here Gareth Roberts' Ducati MH900e Superlite cafe racer . I've come across a few recent builds where carbon bodywork is used and I don't believe its the original carbon dream. Is anyone familiar with a place that is producing mh900e bodywork?

Not sure if they do Carbon?? AirTech
The only one I ever knew of was Carbon Dream and those are long gone.
You could always pull a set of molds and make your own, I'd bet that you could sell a few sets.

I'll reach out to them. I would think it they would if they have the molds.

AirTech make poorly fitted fiberglass parts. the only carbon parts for the MH were Carbon Dream. Ducati dealers only sold 100 sets of these (so I heard) but there were a few unfinished sets sold by other parties. these unfinished sets were ones that were deemed not "for sale" due to quality issues. somehow, the company did end up selling them due to the huge demand. you will likely not find a complete set but if magically you do be prepared to spend serious money. last complete set I saw was $5,000 USD a couple years ago. I have seen single parts listed here and there. I have a spare tank cover
@jfishfl Did you got any leads on Carbon fairing then? I am thinking of doing my custom build as well.

I just kept my eye out and eventually came across an available set.

You found original carbon dream set or by some other manufacturer? I sent you follow request on Instagram. Would love to know more about your progress on the mh900e build.

what's your budget? I have a new, never installed, Carbon Dream kit that came with my MH900e

Do you still have this kit
I recently sold one. Have 1 brand new NEVER Installed kit left. Private message me but most are just jokers and don't know the value of these unobtainium parts
Not sure how to private message you on this forum but send me a phone number or email, where are you located?

Hi Mike - I'm interested in the spare tank cover, do you still have it?

No, sold it. My friend is potentially selling his new, never installed Carbon Dream kit but you need to be prepared dish out serious $$$. It's one of those parts (kit) you simply will not find anywhere unless you convince a collector to part with it.

My last new kit is currently not for sale. I'll wait it out another 10 years

As for the unpainted kits, please do some research. The reason those are floating around is because these were deemed unrepairable by Ducati. So making one fit and look original is highly unlikely

Thanks Mike. How much is he looking for?
Also, what mirrors do you recommend for the Carbon Dream kitted bikes?
