Aside from bling, and the chain tensioning, is there a weight / stiffness benefit to this over the cast / extruded AL part on the ST4s?

It also doesn't look like it has the tappings for the stock-style hugger.

Ze website it does nothing (to answer this Q).

The swingarm was originally made on behalf of a guy from the US named Brad, he was building a very blinged up ST4S and wanted a better specced swingarm than standard so the answer is yes to both bits.

My bike was used as at the time I lived about 25 miles from the Metmachex factory and couldn't ride due to knee surgery.

It's also very shiny:D:D:D so I had to have one on my ST2 as well!

As for the comments re the rear hugger, that's odd, as if you look at the photos I posted, the first shows the screws for same on the left hand side of the pic and the second one shows the hugger in place.....

As they make them to order, you can customise them to a degree - the one in the pic may have been specced without the mountings but they are made with them.
