My 916 was recently struck by the infamous voltage regulator / wiring meltdown.
When researching the topic here a few days ago I came across a post that provided a link to a supplier of larger gauge wire with a more heat resistant covering, and a high heat resistant loom (sheathing)
.... I guess I should have bookmarked the links, because
i am having no luck finding the thread with the information again (using the search function)

I'm hoping the person that posted the info might see this; or someone that remembers the thread can also remember some keywords that would make the search successful.

TIA,

max

I dont think that's necesary... cut the generator wires back and splice with solder-seal connectors using 12-14 guage wire. Or, use GM weatherpac connectors with a good helping of di-electric grease.
