Marzocchi forks

I just pulled my forks to reseal them and when I pulled the caps I see what looks like a plastic sleeve where the springs should be. I’m just looking for insight from the experts on these, is the spring inside the sleeve ?
I can’t upload pictures
Thanks Jim

Are you seeing preload spacers? Look underneath the tube?

I’m not sure as you can see in the picture, they are large

that's them. the springs are below them, so that they are always in the lower leg. otherwise they rub against the top of the lower leg as it moves. pull them apart to set the oil level.

Thanks for the clarification, I was confused as I have another set and when I removed the caps and compressed them I am looking at the springs and no spacers

People put stuff together wrong or modified all the time, I choose to both some times.

Speaking of wrong, I have 2 sets of forks and my buddy helped me pick the best 2 to reseal. Everything went great until I went to install them and found out that we actually resealed 2 left forks
Time to swap out a lower leg
