The air filter that comes with the Termi exhaust kit looks kind of porous. Is this filter meant to be coated with oil like a K&N type filter?

K&N or off brand filter oil. With the filter delivered dry, my dealer said they use a bulk (discount) K&N style oil.
After having Termignonis installed on my 696 by the dealer, I found some strange pinkish oil spilled on my bike, concerned I called the dealer to ask about the oil and he said it is filter oil and they use an off brand filter oil in bulk.
I'm sure what ever brand filter oil will work fine if you apply it by its instructions.
