Thinking about lowering my GT, could anyone who has, please give me some feedback on handling, what make of shocks etc.

08 Silver GT 1000, Staintune exhaust, Bar end mirrors, custom luggage rack
98 Red ST 2
88 GSX 1100

IMHO, Mike (bellacorse) has just about the best looking lowered GT around. Go to the link below and scroll down for a photo. I remember that Mike posted details as to exactly what he had done. Try a search.

I lowed my GT by 20mm using YSS shocks. I didn't notice much differance in handling at all and think it realy helps the bike look like an old GT as it should without the jacked up rear end.

Actually the handling was improved since the YSS shocks are much better than stock.

from what iI see the brackets for the saddle bags will not let the bike be lowerd,right or wrong?

Napolean Brackets

Why not use the Napolean Lowering Brackets? Search them and they'll come up. They're on my mono now, and I'm diggin it.

Thankyou Dude. That site was extremly helpful, cosmetically it looks right, but i am lookin at the 20mm distance for feet down confidence.
