AS the title says. I couldn't find a match via search on this SC forum. Has anyone had this happen? My lower fork is seeping oil. if anyone has had this happen, what did you do to correct it? I'm waiting for it to be sent off to a suspension specialist for diagnosis and fix. Thanks in advance.

I had a lower fork seal leak on my PS. I thought about trying the Seal Mate that Hypermo suggested but decided that I needed to have the fork oil changed out anyway. If you are lucky and it's only a little trash under the seal that is causing the leak, I've heard the fork seal can help.

For around $5 it's worth a try.

Are you saying that the fork is leaking from the seal? I had to replace one of mine - bought the seal driver and did it myself. OR, are you saying it is leaking from somewhere else? From the bottom allen bolt that holds the damper tube in place?

Thanks folks for the advice. I've been recommended that fork seal tool too. The oil is seeping upwareds to the lower stanchion (is that the correct term?) and I've been told by the mechanic that there's no seal there. But since I had the bike in the shop, they are going to remove the forks and send it off to a fork specialist. My Ducati shop doesn't have the tool to remove the lower stanchion as opposed to the upper stanchion. I'll update this thread when I get more news.
