Nice machine
Well he did say "perhaps."Hello
I agree, very nice bike, but that "perhaps best in the Nation" is maybe a bit presumptious....
JMHO....
Yea' I agree, some real nice ones out there. Take a look at Phillips, or LT's or Corbin's ST4S's. Even some board members have carbon fairings and wheels, suspension upgrades, ect. I understand one rider even installed a 1098 in his.Hello

When do you really think a nicer one will come around again?I am just a few coins short right now and I am on the fence as whether to just blow up my budget and go for it. I would have to have it shipped and do the whole deal sight unseen which is a bit un-nerving for me.
Yes, it was worked on/modified by professionals, and there's a lot of extra, high quality component upgrades too. However, in my experience, extra aftermarket items do not increase resale that much, sometimes BB's are frowned upon, because you have to find the right buyer who thinks like the seller. In this case, most of the upgrades seem what most owners might or want to do, plus it's pristine. But you are right, it's expensive, and the seller is right, it's worth it.I don't know the bike. I don't know the seller.
I did have an ST4s that was gone through by FbF, with FbF exhaust and a custom mapping on a power commander. That was, and is, one smooth, powerful motorcycle so now I trust their work. I recently sold it and the person who bought it got a great deal.
This seems like a pretty nice, though expensive, bike.
Why should it be so expensive? Because you pay for the work of specialists. Seems like a close-to-reasonable price considering the nature of the changes on the bike. What is actually reasonable is between the owner and the buyer.
I couldn't give a darn about the names of the owners. No offense to them, but I wouldn't be buying a person- just a piece of machinery.
If you have read all these posts you can likely dismiss the "sight unseen" factor. Between Paul, Tony and Fishmonger (the seller) we have been provided a glowing review, much better than you would likely get from a mechanic pre-sale check. I say "blow the budget".I am just a few coins short right now and I am on the fence as whether to just blow up my budget and go for it.
