At least he has "experience" in WSBK now.Before this weekend Simoncelli had never ridden the Aprilia V4, never been on the control tire or been involved with the team. After the weekend, he not only made it to the final qualifying session, but ended up beating Ben Spies in the 2nd race and putting the Aprilia on the podium!
This is the beginning of a new champion, one who sounds like he could do some damage in MotoGP, but does he really belong there? What if Simoncelli stayed in WSBK on the Aprilia? Sounds like he could be a real threat!
