Dose anyone know why Ducati recommend Loctite 510 for the clutch basket bolts? It appears to be a sealing type thread lock, used to seal gaps and I didn't think those bolts have anything to seal. I am any way not going to buy it especially for the job, I recon the slandered Loctite 243 should be fine, though I would be interested to know why they use it.
Still waiting on my clutch parts. Its been over 3 weeks now, going to email them tonight to get them to get a move on. Luckily the weather is too bad to enjoy riding it or I'd be really pissed, this it tinkering weather:)

Because there is oil on the other side, i.e. they are through holes into the crankcase.

I just use normal red, no problems.

I didn't realise oil could leak out of them. Thanks for the info!

I used Ducati's ThreeBond gasket sealer/adhesive. The bolts appeared to have that grey silicone on them so I assumed it was ThreeBond. Two years no leaks, no issues.

I might use a bit of instant gasket with the thread lock. The thread lock sets aerobically and can be used with oil so I recon it should work.

Clutch just arrived!!
Can’t wait to fit it!!
