I am sure this has happened to many on this forum. When a top triple clamp has cracked or needs to be replaced, can the limited edition tag or plate be removed and installed on a replacement triple clamp?

Yes it can , some here have done it and done it well . But if you damage the tag that's it ... Gone forever

Some are just simple adhesive. For the ones that are riveted, those domed brass heads can be tough to duplicate. I've seen people get creative--drill out the bottom, drive the rivet up, and use adhesive for the plaque while using guy the old rivet pins as just dummies on the new tree.
