Hey guys, I noticed brake fluid would drip onto the fairing on my 2008 hypermotard, mostly after a ride. It appears to be coming from that small hole, which also bubbles when you pull the brake lever. Is there a fix for this? Or does the whole lever mechanism need to be replaced? Thanks in advance for the help.

Fluid is leaking past the seal and out the vent hole. There's no rebuild kit available AFAIK. Replace the master cylinder. Brake fluid is corrosive to painted surfaces so you don't want it blowing back onto your bodywork.

That's an interesting bit of information. So the Ducati Hypermotard is fitted with non-rebuildable front brake master cylinders? A motorcycle that had a $15,000 MSRP is fitted with throw-away front brake master cylinders? That's nearly shocking.

:surprise:

Especially considering the fact that "super moto" bikes see fairly harsh treatment.

Ya learn somethin' new every day .... unfortunately sometimes it's bad news. :frown2:

Bummer.
