I live in Truckee, CA. (Near Lake Tahoe-North Shore) I know while touring it's nice to have a few resources on hand/in the phone just in case. There is really only one motorcycle Shop in/around Lake Tahoe that works on street bikes that I know of-at least on the north side. Thought I'd pass along the info.
Thin Air 530.582-8081. They are not a ducati shop but a good crew working there. They only did dirt bikes for a little bit but now do both.
Just changed my tires, chain and rear brakes. Fast turnaround time, reasonable prices. Saves me a trip to Reno and dropping off the bike an hour away, etc..
Anyway, if you are heading through the area a good number to have and not use....
