Kaoko or Throttlemeister?

I am going with the Kaoko with Barkbusters, from what I have read good clean product and compatible.

I've got both. The Throttlemeister is great. The Kaoko is very poorly designed and doesn't work nearly as we'll.

Edit... As stated above I got the Kaoko for my KTM because it works with the hand guards.

I think that's the choice, isn't it? If you want the Barkbusters you are driven to the Kaoko. From the pics it looks like the 'meister is more robust. Did you go heavy or standard weight Duck Man?

That's it. I wanted to keep the bark busters. And the Kaoko works, just not as well.

I have the standard size black textured Throttlemeister. The textured surface makes it easy to grip and use.

What about a '2 wheel ride' GC-1 throttle assist? I have one, seems like it works (5 minutes usage) and it was cheap ($20). I can't tell you how well works on long distance yet- I'm sure it will need adjusting while you ride- but it should be good enough to give my wrist a break on long stretches.

I actually have one of those also that I use on the Monster. For $20 it isn't bad. It slips a little and speed gradually decreases but it helps. I actually like it.

I think for me it's still between the 'meister and the Kaoko both of which seem like the most elegant solutions. The question is Barkbusters (do I care about them?) and my experience is that the Throttlemeister is a really nicely made package. I think the Kaoko answers all the questions, looks the least intrusive and melts into the background so it's a question of quality versus the TM.

I have to say the GC-1 looks a bit clumsy to me, and I don't want another thing to have to adjust while I'm riding. I realize it sounds like I asked a question to which I already had the answer, but that really is not the case. You guys are helping me sort through this minor decision

I've had Throttlemiesters for years, but bought the Go cruise on a whim. Much easier to use and fine tune. It does take up a little room on the throttle however. Not as good as the (cough, cough) Street Glides real cruise. One of the few things I like about the "Glide. Anyone want to buy a Throttlemiester?

Hmm! A variety of informed opinions, then.

This reads like you want to keep the Go Cruise and sell the Glide.

Yes. It's the newest model that Ducati plans to release. It's called the "Scooterstrada".

I couldn't find a good photo of my bike showing the go cruise, so I just grabbed a photo off the web.

I have a Kaoko for sale!

Having installed the TuneBoy cruise control, I no longer need my Kaoko throttle lock (in fact, I just removed it yesterday).

So it's for sale! I modified it to use a larger installation bolt (M8x1.25) when I fitted the Touratech handguards.

Forget what the Kaoko cost me, but I'll sell it for half price. It worked fine; as well as any "throttle jammer" could (I refuse to ever call those things cruise controls).

I have owned both as well. I had a throttlemeister on my Honda and i liked it, for my Multi i went with the Kaoko. The reason i went with the Kaoko was the larger grip on it. I personally find it much easier to use with gloves on.

At the end of the day they both work great and either one is a good choice.

I have two Kaoko's, one on my S4Rs and one on the MTS.

Excellent design and excellent quality.
