Just drove the bike home from PA. It took about 1.5 hours .... pretty hot in stop and go (250F)..... it drove like a dream.

Sounds like coolant is low, flush/refill it. Easy DIY job.

It's not a choke (FI not carb), cold idle lever. You're not supposed to ride it with cold lever in non-zero position.

I wouldn't ride it w/o flushing fluids and basic maintenance if it hadn't been ridden in a year.
