I tore my JHP air filter. Can I get one in the US? Where? I've googled for the last 25 minutes and not found one. What about ITG?

I've been searching aftermarket filters for my 748 for almost a week. I've been looking at this ITG for $130....

There was a used JHP on eBay that didn't sell. He was looking to get $60 for it.....

I don't remember where I saw the JHP filters being sold, as their prices were a bit more than I'm really looking to spend.

As a cost alternative, I've been looking at the Mad Duc filters for $62-65....

i just put in a set of those and am pleased with them. pulled of the mesh screen around the airducts and oiled them, the airbox and the filters. i checked my belts today, so, saw the filters and the air box, everything was in order in terms of rubish collection and filtering. which is good considering there is a good amount of construction where i live and my 748 swallows dusts on a daily basis.

with my set up the sound of the intake is nice and loud, something you should consider if you prefer the "quietness?" of your ducati.

also once you own the housing that fits on the velocity stacks, filters are only $16 from then on out, race or street, and very easy to change.

just that i'd speak up

I'd be wary of a used one, I replaced my JHP filter with an ITG last year because the JHP which was about 6 years old was starting to break up a little, I know of someone who had a piece of foam from a JHP sucked into one of the Throttle Bodies, preventing the butterfly valve from closing - luckily he shut down and didn't crash but under different circumstances it could have been different.

My ITG has a plastic mesh screen to keep foam out of the TB's and I think the new JHP's may do also....... :)

My JHP is 5 or so years old. It looks remarkably like the ITG. It too has an internal frame. I don't know when that might have changed. I've found I can order one from England for about $130 to my door.
