Hi.
Has anyone here tried or uses these plugs? https://www.flareaudio.com/products/isolate-aluminium
I'd like to know how they fit inside helmet and hows the noise isolation.
Engine noise isn't problem i love the sound of my bike>. I've been using alpine musicsafe pros to cut wind noise down to reasonable levels.
I’m waiting for the titanium or cf version. Seriously, though, I tried them years ago and liked them as they do let some sound through, making it easier to have a conversation. They stick out pretty far and it may be hard to fit a helmet.
I'm using the Alpine Motosafe attenuation ear plugs. I can hear my music and comms and cuts down wind noise significantly. I'm pleased with their comfort and longevity (3 years use).
I’ve used some from Etymotic, the MK5s. There was less noise a great clarity of audio but I can only wear them for short periods of time. I have small ear canals though and may not be a good sample of comfort. I e read many others using them in a helmet with plenty of comfort.
Disposable foam squishy have the best noise attenuation and the best fit and comfort for everyone. Why would you put a solid foam covered bolt in your ear canal?
I personally don't wear earplugs, just because my helmet seems to cancel a lot of the noise for me, already. I am, however, a very avid trap shooter, and just use the trusty rubber "Christmas tree" shaped earplugs from Walgreens, for shooting. Those $33 aluminum plugs are nice, but I know how often I lose my $2.00 plugs. ?
You will hear sirens, horns and plenty of other sounds with ear plugs in. When you get tinnitus like a bunch of other members here now have you will think a super early warning of sirens was not quite as important.

Cheap, disposable, works better than any custom (did that), silicone (done that) or metal ones (realized I was crazy after that).
