They look like OEM shocks with Ohlins decals on them?

The adjuster rings look exactly like those on the OEM sachs, as does the whole top section, and the overall finish, even the way the variable rate spring get's tighter at the base.

If they are Ohlins, then he wasted his money as the Sachs appear to be just as well built - LOL.

I've gone from being 90% to 99% sure they are Sachs with decals. Don't trust anything else he says, unless he has receipts from Ohlins.

in the sellers defense, the add listed all the mods and the ohlins suspension was not one of them, but i saw the picture and was wondering if it was ohlins. i guess a sticker dosnt count as a legit mod.

thanks for the feedback. the guys add didnt say anything about ohlins suspenion, but when i asked him, he did say that it was...i dont know if he knew what i was talking about...but from what you guys are saying there is no way that - that can be a real set of ohlins. perhaps they made a black coil version at one point?

Sound like a cheeky fooker to me. What else might he let you assume? That it's never been dropped, never missed a service, not under finance, etc... I'd say you should trust nothing that he says from now on.

The bike looks really nice, and very clean, and looks like he's done a good job of upgrading to rearset foot controls and rehung the termi end cans. Wheels look good too. Do you know what they are? (The look like BST?)

You can put the passenger pegs back if he has the original brackets. If you've not done much on bikes before, it's a bit fiddly with re-mounting the rear brake master cylinders and the gear lever rod, but even so, it's just a couple of hours fiddling the first time. (Watch out that the the bike doesn't fall on you when you undo the sidestand bracket). ...but if he hasn't got the bits, you'll have to fabricate something.

Shame he let himself down by letting you think the shocks were Ohlins, as it looks like a bike worth buying at the right price. Now you'll need to check receipts and history more carefully.

thanks for the feedback. the wheels are marchesini. the bike only has 2000km's. im not that handy, but hopefully i would get my mechanic to permanently put on the passenger rear sets so i dont have to fumble around with them.

So what is the benefit of re hanging the cans and removing passenger pegs....? would the original big triangle thing have to go back on?

The triangle brackets that serve as exhaust hangers, footrests and passenger peg holders are big, ugly and heavy, and if you never take a pillion then they are an eyesore most people would love to get rid of - especially as the monoposto doesn't have them - so you get to see how good they look on other bikes everytime you log into this forum. I assume this is why some people get rid of them. (That's what I did, anyway).

It's complicated and relatively expensive to sort, but undoing it should be straightforward for a mechanic. If you prefer the looks and don't take passengers often then you might want to just fit passenger pegs to the new brackets. You'll have to fabricate something but the looks and weight saving would be worth it.

(I wonder of the Mack passenger footrest adapters might work with your current setup?)

If you revert to the old triangles, then half the forum will bite your hand off for the bits you are not using. - but I see that tmnstr got in there first.
