the cheapest I found shims were $99 for 8 of each type. Other kits are in the $350 range and have 19 of each. I may just try to trade the shims out for the ones that I need (if I need a change). But, that extends my service time substantially. I just can't justify $500+ worth of tools and supplies to do this service 3-4 times.

Don't be surprised if your valve clearance is good at 7500 miles. Mine clocked 12,000km and no adjustment needed and I ride the bike hard daily to work.
I love this engine :)

Mine was fine as well, and the techs told me this is usually the case. I lined up two dealers that would sell me shims as needed, one local and one by UPS.
