I'm trying to install the DB killers into my 70mm termi system on a 1098S...is there a trick to it? I can't get the inserts in far enough to put the setscrew in.

I used a rubber mallet and just slowly pounded them in. It was an extremely tight fit and difficult to remove later on.

The second time I smeared some anti sieze on there and it seemed to help a little. Kinda acted like lube. . .

Just keep tap tap tapping until they go all the way in!!!

Thanks! That worked, but yes, now I can't get them out...I was hoping it would be simple enough to put them in, ride to the inspection, and then ride around the corner and pull them out. What did you do to get them out?

I use a piece of wire around the round part and make a handle using screwdriver.
They are normally a very tight fit. You can also try a sliding hammer like they use to pull out dents, but first try running a wire or strap around the round steel piece in the outlet and yank on that.
