Are the front forks the same between the two models apart from the DLC on the legs of the SP version and the extra travel?

For example, would the Andreani cartridges listed for the SP fit A-OK in the "base" model forks? Or would the extra travel screw things up?

Evo's are Sachs and sp's are marzzochi...i think...someone else may be able to verify...

SP "50mm Marzocchi forks, fully adjustable with DLC"
Base "50mm Marzocchi forks, fully adjustable" and the only thing I read specifically about the forks was that the SP got longer travel suspension to aid ground clearance for the racers.

I don't think there are any cartridge kits for the EVO SP. Their site lists 2013 on.
Au contraire monsieur: Andreani fork cartridges They have them for the SP but nothing listed for the Base model, thus why I'm wondering if it's due to the extra travel. They're also on eBay...

We're both pretty big. We could pass for a small group of regular folk I reckon.

Keen to see what you go for mate as I'm planning on the same.
