The attached video is long but there is a lot of information in it. Dave Moss discusses suspension setup and tire preassure and how they both act on tire wear. I'm not a racer or track day enthusiest but found it very informative. I'm sure the track guys will use this info to greater detail and can throw in their own experience. Intetesting. So is this spot up by the fender a cold tear? If so does that mean I should have lowered the pressure?

Duckman, I wish I could answer that but I'm no expert. Maybe Dave is on this forum or someone else knows. I wonder in Keith Code, who is on this forum, could help out. Good luck.
