Long story short, I have a chance to trade my current vehicle for a 2006 Muiltistrada 1000. I see that it bluebooks at $7,200 here, and I was wondering how much I could get for it trying to sell quick. I can take a small hit on this seeing as how what I've traded for to get here was worth A LOT less.
Bike has 6,000 miles, nothing wrong with it.

Basically, how easy/hard on these to sell?

I'm no bike salesman, but I believe the market for the older model Mutli is SOFT, since the release and resolution of initial recall issues on the 1200.
If you have the money, and want a multi, you'll get a 1200, period.
If you are interested in that segment, there are cheaper Wee Stroms, more relieable GS's, triumph still has capable older tigers that are cheaper.
I looked at KTM's SM-T and the Dorsoduro, before I got my multistrada. Extremely capable, cool, sexy bikes available in this market.

I love my 1200, but in today's market I would choose a bunch of other bikes before the older version of the multistrada.

Put an add on your local craigslist, at $1000 under what you would want to sell it for, see how many replies you get.
