Discussion Starter #1
How do you check for a bad starter or silinoud(sp)? Went to start the bike and the fuel pump primes, lights come, everything normal...hit the starter button and....nothing? Did it a few times and nothing.....it sucks pushing the bike for about 3/4 mile home.....any help would be great.

Get a screw driver and and connect the terminals on the starter solenoid. If the starter works or the bike turns over it's the solenoid.

Besides that, check the master fuse on the right side of the battery holder above the starter solenoid. Those can go bad or work their way loose, (like mine does) and cause the bike to not start. Check the master fuse. Should be #1. Depending on the year, make sure your kickstand relay works, bypass it if it is bad.

Let us know how things go.

There is a little white connector on the back of the solenoid.... push it back on and then cable tie it in place.
