I did a search, but didn't find anything quite like what I'm observing. Twice now, I've had an issue where the running light and/or brake light were not illuminating. In both cases, I checked the bulb, found it to be OK and then pulled out the multimeter. In both cases, voltage looked good at the connector on the frame under the seat that the tail light harness connects to and in both cases once I reassembled that connector everything worked fine again.

I've only had the bike since May and the first time happened in June and was good until yesterday when it happened again. Any ideas here? What would you check next? Or would you just reseat that connector when it happens again and go about life as usual? :D

What's the quality of the wire connections? Any corrosion in the light socket?

Sounds like a poor connection, pinched wire or a poor ground connection.

Well, it's all the factory connections and they look to be in good shape. There's no obvious corrosion in the socket either.

Since I always seem to have voltage on the battery side of the connector, maybe I need to start testing at the bulb ends and checking continuity.
