So I bought a track built 1999 748 recently, and I noticed that the forks on it are totally different than those on my 2000 748 I've had for a while. The new forks are titanium grey on the uppers and have much darker axle clamps without any logos on them. Just for fun, can anyone help identify these forks on the new bike? I've attached photos of both bikes forks below.

First 2 pics look like every other set of pre 2000 OEM Showa forks .
Third pic , I’m guessing your 748? You actually ride with zip ties holding the front guard in place?.

Didn’t the 2000 748 get TiN front forks like the 996 ?? Or was it only the S & above models??
Anybody???????

Stock OEM forks for a 748 base model 1999-2002. TiN came out in 2000 for the 748S all 996 models.

have a set of Tin forks from my 998 if you need a set
