Does anyone have any experience using muffler tape to control the heat radiated from the rear cylinder exhaust pipe? The tank can get really warm, which is great in the cold weather, but can be a bit uncomfortable in the summer. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

either ceramic coat it(i can have it done for you inexpensively) and or wrap it too.

i have my twin rear tube ceramic coated and wrapped as it cooks my toosh and the rear shock

i might even have some header wrap i can donate to you for like $10 to cover shipping and i can get the whole header done in ceramic coat too

I placed reflective heat shield on the underside of the tank. It has peel away backing so it sticks where you put it. I think it helps some, but I think that the vertical cylinder head is what is responsible for transmitting a lot of heat to the tank.
