I've noticed that the headers are a lighter black than my Termis. Being a bit of a perfectionist, I was thinking of painting my pipes with high temp header paint a flat black to match the Termis. Anyone ever done it?

You ought to consider jet hot coating for the headers, I'm not sure even high temp paint would survive on headers.

Get them ceramic coated black. It will match, and help manage the heat.

SE84, your bike looks great. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the ceramic coating done and how much did it cost you? It sounds like the smarter way to go. :D

Sorry, I should have been more clear. That picture is from a write-up of a S1K build:

My bike is in my avatar picture.

As for where to get it done...I'm sure there are a lot of places that can do ceramic coating in southern ca.

I was recommended to Accessories Plus, here in NorCal, but I haven't had time to get over there yet:

Good luck.
