The 32mm nut that holds the clutch assembly together on my 2011 MTS 1200 came loose the other day and caused a few problems, which I have pretty much taken care of, and now it’s time to put the clutch back together. This is the first time I’ve been into this wet clutch, and I want to make sure that I do everything possible to make sure the nut doesn’t come loose again. The torque spec for the nut is 190 NM, which is a lot, but I’m wondering if I should also use Loctite on it. The service manual calls for grease on the threads. Any advice on using Loctite vs grease on this nut?

The reason for applying the recommended grease to the threads is to develop a higher force in the threaded connection than you can achieve with a dry or Locktite connection.
