Even those east and certainly south I ride with skirt downtown to get west as soon as possible to the meeting/rendezvous. Maybe this is an Erico or Ducati Monster kind of thing. Superbikes or Supersports downtown - ugh, only if necessary. A downside to two meeting spots is the time expended. There's always hanging around, getting the ride organized, stops planned and communicated, etc. But if The Market is working for some -- go for it.
