Good Meeting Places

Let's come up with some good meeting places. I'm gonna start the list for up north riding. Conoco at the Morrison exit off of 470, access to Evergreen, Squaw Pass kinda roads. 7-11 on 93 in Golden for Golden Gate and Coal Creek Canyons. I live close to them so that's why I'm suggesting them. The more the merrier. I'm not a fan of Larimer because of the crappy riding through town and 6 ave. etc....My house would be perfect!

HOW many people typically show up for these rides?

3, 5, 10, 15?

This is interesting. Do you ride from Boulder to downtown and then back to the mountains for The Ride? Of the countless group rides I've been a part of, riding downtown with the nest of traffic and stop/go lights was to be avoided like a communicable disease. Even those east and certainly south I ride with skirt downtown to get west as soon as possible to the meeting/rendezvous. Maybe this is an Erico or Ducati Monster kind of thing. Superbikes or Supersports downtown - ugh, only if necessary. A downside to two meeting spots is the time expended. There's always hanging around, getting the ride organized, stops planned and communicated, etc. But if The Market is working for some -- go for it.

I can ride to Steamboat by the time you get going with what you just described!

:D :D :D :D :D

Our only real guideline is that we stop and wait, when appropriate, for newer or inexperienced riders.

You've missed the point. :)
Understood, just being difficult...

with my new Duc, I feel like a noob now... I'm not sure I want to ride in a big group till I get my rusty carvin' skills dusted off... ugh...
