Forgive me if this seems like a stupid question, but is it normal to see the pipe coming from the top cylinder on my 2011 M696 glow while warming up (full choke on)?

I must admit this is my first Ducati, but I have never seen that happen with other bikes. Or maybe, I have never noticed.... :)

It's pretty simple, bike's too lean. Take it to a dealer to set the exhaust CO level and air/fuel ratio. Do it soon, because the next step will be your cylinders will turn brown from excessive heat.

Does the bike "pop" on decelleration?

Cheers.

Yep... Have it done...

There are other benefits-the bike is going to run cooler and smother too...

Also tell them to set up the vertical cyl to run richer, this will add a bit to the comfort by having it run a bit cooler.
