Check the age of the tires and if old replace them.
Change the belts unless they have been done in the last 2 years.
Look everythiing over and check bolt torque on every bolt you can find.
inspect the front tank mounts to see if the tank is still attached at the front.
look for oil leaks at the heads and fix them to prevent oil stains burning on.
Check service history for when the last major service was done.
look at the color of the oil if it is black change it an inspect magnet, sump screen.

Take it to a dealership and have them give it once-over. Where are you located?
Located in Charleston. I have bike being shipped to a friend who is Mercedes master mechanic but has worked on his fit of Ducati’s and is doing belt and valve service before I pic up. Planned on at least those two things and clutch if it need it. Bike has 14k on it.

It won't need a clutch, but you will need to do some muscle training on your clutch hand! One mod you will need (if it hasn't been done) is some sort of fueling modification, as these engines run too weak at low revs. I've got a FatDuc on mine which transformed the low-speed running.

Thanks man. Good to know. Three bikes ago I owned a Buell white Lightning so I am no stranger to hard clutch pulls. I doubt it will be worse than that 😉
