Anybody do a headlight conversion on the gen2? I know motodemic sells the whole LED kit, but I'm really just after the bucket, brackets, and lens. I'd like to clean up the front, as the headlight is the only cosmetic thing I don't care for on the bike. I have my own plans for internals.

I have bought Alchemy parts LED headlight with Alchemy brackets, I will be assembling it in a few weeks so I will post the upgrade.

If you use bucket style headlight, you cannot use windscreen cowl, only the mini one and you have to buy/make brackets for the dash that go above the bucket headlight.

I converted to an 821 bracket and used the MattGecko led.

MAX Razor CNC Machined Headlight Brackets
Ducati OEM Instrument Back Cover fitted, bikini fairing removed.

@seasalt Do you have any more pics at different angles? That's pretty much what I'm looking to do. I wanted to use a first gen bucket, but it would require more fabrication than I'm willing to do at this point. My goal is to make it sit in tight, and not look like a bolt on piece (I know, I know). I think what you have is aboot as close to what I'm imagining is gonna get.

I listed the parts I used before. Didn't like the motodemic bracket for gauges. Made my own. I've only got a flat lens 7" headlight. I think an 8" would be better. Just my thought.

I tried a custom shroud for my GPS, (seen above), but decided it looked crap.

Damn, you're quite the fabricator. I think you're getting the most you can out of that monster.

Those particular headlight brackets have the clamp section behind, which dictated their height on the fork tubes. I had to position them so that they moved between the frame tubes, otherwise they limited steering lock.....

This looks awesome. I am really curious about this install. Does the 821 headlight bracket mount up with out modification?
