Has anyone opened the opened their gauges, removed the faceplate? The needles on my gauges are faded and I'd like to paint them red. I don't see an easy way to remove the faceplate. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The bezel is glued on and difficult at best to remove without damage. I used a very thin saw blade and cut the top off just below the bezel, then glued it back on.
Superdials used to make a tri-color face plate like the Italian flag but it's not listed on their site anymore. The link above has all white faces.
Appears to be too much effort. I'll keep them stock and faded. It's not like I'm looking at my speed, anyway.
