What bike/ forks ? Are you talking about clear coat getting foggy looking ? If so , you can strip it off . Post a pic.

Are they anodized with clear coat over ? If you try something on them , do a small spot where it can’t be seen. If the forks are anodized, solvents or paint remover May remove the film , use nothing acid based or with abrasive in it. If you’re willing to remove the forks it will be easier, especially with a hip replacement. I’m thinking maybe paint remover, but try a small area first. If the anodizing itself is changing, maybe try a metal polish.

Ahhh metal polish, ok thanks friend!! Paint remover like turpentine?
