I know its a known issue but will changing the pads stop the front brake groan I get when I brake heavy? There is no performance issue just the noise...

yep, cleaned the calipers, pads, and rotors. No luck but they do work better.

Mine was never that loud but went away when I swapped pads and used a rotor hone.

mine do the same but only when hard on the brakes coming to a complete stop..if i'm braking hard to set my corner speed i don't get a groan at all..

Mine have a slight groan I hear when the bike is off and I roll it around. Sounds different from brake drag. Kind of a low pitched squeal.
