we have RH-Lacke here in germany, a company that is specialized
in touch up sticks, cans, etc., for motorcycle brands.

they have got:

49-01-15-3025/4 Rahmen/Felgen gold met. '95

that gold paint in standard base coat, in spray cans, and as
a touch up stick.

they have a distributor right around the corner from where i live,
that means i can get there stuff without paying any postage.

let me know if you can't find a solution where you live, and i will
be happy to help you out and send you some.

those people at vee-two should have some contacts for you,
to get that gold paint down under, it can't be that difficult.

( an alternative would be some nickel plating on that frame,
that looks brilliant with the red body work, i saw it around
town once. )

Muschi, I really like to get the frame re-done in red which i think would look really sweet, but be doubtful i'd see much change out of $2000, which makes it a little expensive at the moment.

thanks for your offer on getting some paint - tric question, would a spray can of paint be allowed to be posted by air - be most embarrasing if it went pop in the cargo hold

favour for three cages of beer plus material ?

can you inquire for me what i would be looking at cost wise - for a spray can and a paint pen please ,if the y do the touch up paint in brush style ( not sure what you would call it - self contained brush in the lid ??) that would probably do.

hi,

i did this before for a member of the sport classic section, who needed
a touch up stick for his paul smart.
prices are very reasonable, you can order without knowing exactly,
just let me know and i'll get the paint for you.

beside that full base and clear treatment, they sell touch up sticks,
which are like nail-paint for females, with a little brush inside the lid,
but very small in total. I have not seen the spray cans yet, but those
should be standard too.
postage to oz is 13 Euro 90 for packages up to 2 kgs., if you want to
pay with pay-pal, you would need to add 5% to the total sum that
i don't lose any mony for helping you out.

just let me know, and i go over there and order the paint, delivery to
their place is a week maximum.

i would order a spray can*, as you can always spray into the lid, and
brush from there for later touch ups.

cans should be 8 to 12 Euros or so.

*best idea would be to order the standard basecoat
and have the bike disassembled in full, to have it
done corectly, as the spray paint won't last too long
on a frame maybe.
you can always cover the gold with a 2K clear spray
can though, something worth considering in my eyes.

corks get it powder coated is more duarable and cost bugger all. Shouldnt cost anymore than $300-$400

If not send your frame to me and I will redo it. When I did my frame in a black 2 pack materials only cost me $120. Powder coating is a better option is hard to spray round tubing and get it to go down without dry edges.

I will be getting my 999 frame powder coated this time

I have used protec for many years they are good to deal with and good prices
U could also buy a touch up spray gun for small touch ups wouldnt be to hard as frame is in a matte finish. Here is the number for local protec dealer in WA
