Hi there.

Does anybody know if fork seals are sam on ducati 1098 and ducati 996 both have showa forks.

I'm looking to buy low friction skf seals part nr: KITB-43S and some sites says that they fit to 1098 forks and other sites says that they fit to 996 forks. But i didn't find site that says that they fit both forks.

I just want to make sure that seals in both forks are same dimensions. So if anyone can confurm this ...

yes.

well, i've put them in:

998, s4r, st4s, 848, 848 evo, 900ssie, 999, st3, 996, s4rt, s2r1000, 748 and st3.

i assume they'd fit a 1098.

Lower fork legs should be 43mm and the outer fork tubes should also be identical. Only real difference seems to be the Radial fork lowers and DLC coating on the fork inners. Otherwise I think they should fit just fine. I can't see the internals being all that different, wouldn't be cost effective for Showa.
